Challenging Behaviour & Tantrums

Laura delivered a session to the parents and staff of ACE Place nurseries in Glasgow, focussed on understanding and supporting challenging behaviour and tantrums.

Laura provided strategies parents and staff can use in conjunction to support children during moments of challenging behaviour and steps to take to avoid these in the first place.

The session consisted of;

• Understanding the root of challenging behaviour and tantrums - the behavioural triangle as a tool to identify the cause of the behaviour.

• A step-by-step strategy to manage tantrums and big emotional outbursts.

• How parents and staff can be consistent to allow for clear boundaries and rules between nursery and home.
